Hello everyone,

My name is Mr. Quiñones a.k.a Mr. Q. I have been an educator for eight years. I am excited to be your 6th-grade homeroom and social studies teacher this year. Social studies is my passion and I look forward to sharing my love of it with all of you. I know we can work together to make this an excellent year if we have a positive attitude and try our best.

Baking & Cooking

Baking is probably my oldest hobby. I have been baking since I was a child which has allowed me the time to perfect a few of my recipes. I make an amazing apple pie, and chocolate chip cookies.

Board Games

My friends and I play board games almost every time we see each other. We play many different games and we have a few favorites that we play over and over. My favorites are Catan, Munchkin, Uno, and Unstable Unicorns.

Reading

I read and listen to audiobooks constantly. My favorite book is A Monster Calls. My favorite author is Brandon Sanderson.

Movies & T.V.

I always go to the movie theaters. I love many movie franchises like Star Wars, Godzilla, Marvel, and more. Some of my favorite shows are: Masterchef, Stranger Things, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Naruto, Bob's Burgers, and more. I also watch cooking shows and home makeover shows on HGTV

Traveling

I love to travel. So far, I have been to: Mexico, Paraguay, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, China, and Japan. I hope to go on an African Safari for my next trip.

Theater

I have season tickets to the Pantages in Hollywood where I see several musicals and plays a year. The best show I have seen so far is Hamilton.
