Hello everyone,

My name is Mr. Quiñones a.k.a Mr. Q. I have been an educator for eight years. I am excited to be your AP World History teacher this year. Social studies is my passion and I look forward to sharing my love of it with all of you. I’m here to support you every step of the way and we can make this an excellent year!

Baking & Cooking

Baking is probably my oldest hobby. I have been baking since I was a child which has allowed me the time to perfect a few of my recipes. I make an amazing apple pie, and chocolate chip cookies.

Board Games

My friends and I play board games almost every time we see each other. We also love escape rooms!

Reading

I read and listen to audiobooks constantly. My favorite book is A Monster Calls. My favorite author is Brandon Sanderson.

Movies & T.V.

I go to the movie theaters almost every week. My favorite movie franchises are Star Wars, Godzilla, and Marvel. Some of my favorite TV shows are: Ted Lasso, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Naruto, Bob's Burgers, and more. I also watch cooking shows and home makeover shows on HGTV

Traveling

I love to travel. So far, I have been to: Canada. Mexico, Paraguay, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, China, and Japan. I hope to go on an African Safari for my next trip.

Video Games

Pokémon is my favorite. It doesn't matter the version: Pokémon Go, Pocket TCG, and the main series games on the Switch. I will play it. In addition, I play Tekken 8 competitively and go to tournaments for it.
