There are other tools available to us to help us read and understand the Bible. Many of the items on our list of things that we want and need to know about the Bible to help us read it are actually found right there on the page in the footnotes and cross-references. These are usually indicated by a symbol printed after a verse. Also, at the beginning of each book of the Bible, the scholars and experts who translated the book have provided an introduction. This gives a lot of background information that can help us read and understand the Bible. Today, we will have the chance to practice using these tools.
